CLOSED LOOP WATER CHILLER

In situations where the local water supply is impure, unreliable or not sufficiently cold, the CLOSED LOOP WATER CHILLER can be used to provide cold water to up to four Supercals or Robocals. When used with these units the total loss from the tank will be limited to the water that has been used for rinsing the bombs. This waste water MUST BE DISCARDED due to the presence of dissolved acids, ash and other combustion debris, and the tank daily topped up to replace this loss.

It is designed for floor standing use, where hot water emerging from the calorimeters during the bomb cooling sequence drains back into the chiller’s water tank.

Ideally the chiller should be filled and kept topped up with de-ionised water or high quality water from a reliable source.

It can be used to supply cold water to a Drycal’s Bomb Washer/Cooler, but in this case the water emerging from the Cooler/Washer MUST BE DISCARDED due to the presence of dissolved acids, ash and other combustion debris.

The thermal dump capacity of the unit is approximately 280 Kilo Calories per hour.

It can be effectively and economically used for calorimeter systems from other manufacturers as well as any instrumentation requiring a reliable supply of cold water, the temperature of which can be user set.
